Enter your email and password
Follow these steps if you have HBO Max with your TV, internet, or wireless plan.

Using what?
Smartphone or tablet
Sign in on your phone or tablet:
HBO Max app profile icon (bottom edge on phones, left edge on tablets).
Tap “Sign in.”
If you’re signed in, tap Settings (upper-left), then Sign Out.
Tap “Provider Sign-In.”
iPhone/iPad
Tap Allow if HBO Max can use your TV package subscription. HBO Max uses your TV provider info if you’re signed in to iOS Settings. Choose a TV service. If your provider isn’t listed, select Other Providers.
Tap the subscription source (your provider). Tap View All Providers on a tablet to choose a provider.
Enter your HBO Max login credentials.
new user? “Create Your HBO Max Account” appears.
HBO Max-new? Enter your name and email address, then create an account.
The subscriber to HBO Max? Select ” Create Account” after entering your name and HBO Max email address. Follow the steps in the Account Found? section to link your existing account to your HBO Max subscription.
Choose viewers, then stream.
Computer
Sign in on your computer:
HBOMax.com/SignIn (upper-right).
If you’re signed in, choose your profile (upper-right) and click “Sign Out.”
Choose “Provider Sign-In”.
Choose a provider (your provider). If your provider isn’t listed, click View All Providers.
Enter your HBO Max login credentials.
new user? “Create Your HBO Max Account” appears.
HBO Max-new? Enter your name and email address, then create an account.
A subscriber to HBO Max? Select “Create Account” after entering your name and HBO Max email address. Follow the Verify Email Address steps to link your existing account to your HBO Max subscription through your TV, internet, or mobile provider.
Choose viewers, then stream.
HBO Max Roku or PS4
Sign in on PlayStation or Roku:
Open HBO Max and click the Profile icon.
Log in. (No login?) (You may be logged in.)
Select TV or Mobile Provider. Hold the 6-character code while you grab your phone or computer.
In a browser, type https://hbomax.com/tvsignin. See https://activate.hbomax.com/Enter-Code.
Next, enter the 6-character TV code.
Choose a provider (your provider). If you’re on a computer or tablet, select View All Providers.
Enter your HBO Max login info.
New user? “Create Your HBO Max Account” appears.
HBO Max-new? Name and email, then Create an Account.
HBO Max subscriber? Choose Create Account after entering your name and HBO Max email. Follow the Verify Email Address steps to link your existing account to your HBO Max subscription through your TV, internet, or mobile provider.
Choose viewers, then stream.
Email Verification
Choose this option to link your HBO Max account to your TV, internet, or mobile provider. Check your inbox for an email from HBO Max with a one-time code (subject: Here’s Your One-Time Code). Enter the email code, then click Link Accounts.
Linked HBO Max accounts to keep existing profiles (which include settings such as My List, parental controls, and Continue Watching). Linking to HBO NOW deletes your profile settings.
Log in to HBO Max
Apple TV sign-in instructions
Sign in to HBO Max on your TV (or choose a show or movie, then choose Sign in and Sign in again).
No sign-in? You may be registered.
Choose “Provider Sign-In”.
Pick one:
Allow HBO Max to use Apple TV provider information. Choose your TV provider if you haven’t already in Apple TV Settings (or More Providers at the bottom of the screen). Follow the other TV device steps if you see a 6-character code.
Never: Choose Don’t allow HBO Max to use Apple TV provider info. Follow the TV sign-in steps after seeing the 6-character code.
If prompted, enter your HBO Max email and password.
new user? “Create Your HBO Max Account” appears.
HBO Max-new? Enter your name and email address, then create an account.
A subscriber to HBO Max? Select “Create Account” after entering your name and HBO Max email address. Follow the Verify Email Address steps to link your existing account to your HBO Max subscription through your TV, internet, or mobile provider.
Choose viewers, then stream.
Log in to HBO Max, Android TV, LG TV, Spectrum WorldBox, Cox device, Samsung TV, VIZIO Smart TV, Xbox, XClass TV, or Xfinity device.
HBO Max Sign In (or choose a show or movie, then choose Sign In).
No sign-in? You may be registered.
Log in. Hold the 6-character code while you grab your phone or computer.
In a browser, type https://hbomax.com/tvsignin. See https://activate.hbomax.com/Enter-Code.
Next, enter the 6-character TV code.
Choose “Provider Sign-In”.
Choose a provider (your provider). If you’re on a computer or tablet, select View All Providers. My provider isn’t here.
Enter your HBO Max login credentials.
Incorrect code
Try:
Step 3: Make sure you’re at https://activate.hbomax.com. Enter your TV’s code at activate.hbomax.com.
Try Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
Code up. To sign in again, go back to your TV.
Computerize (instead of your phone). Enter the TV’s code at activate.hbomax.com.
Clear your browser’s history.
iPhone: Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data on iOS. Clear Safari has details.
Android: Clear Chrome’s browsing data. Clear cache & cookies explain how.
Where do we enter the code?
In a browser, type https://hbomax.com/tvsignin. You should see an Enter Code page (https://activate.hbomax.com).
